BLOG FILLER #3
Heto, para sa mga mahihilig sa Beauty Pageants. Since meron na namang panibagong contest na ganito, ang Miss Earth, this is a bit timely...
As you guys probably know, Miss Philippines won the Miss International 2005 crown and here is her winning answer:
Q: "what do you say to the people of the world who have typecasted (wrong grammar dito, dapat "typecast" lang, pero puwede na palampasin - Reno) filipinos as nannies?"
A: "I take no offense on being typecasted as a nanny. But I do take offense that the educated people of the world have somehow denegrated the true sense and meaning of what a nanny is. Let me tell you what she is. She is someone who gives more than she takes. She is someone you trust to look after the very people most precious to you - your child, the elderly, yourself. She is the one who has made a living out of caring and loving other people. so to those who have typecasted us as nannies, thank you. It is a testament to the loving and caring culture of the Filipino people. And for that, I am forever proud and grateful of my roots and culture."
Super lakas ng palakpakan! grabe!

Tama, Reno...kasi noun yung typecast 'di ba? Never use the nouns as verbs...like Xerox to Xeroxing; FedEx to FedExing; e-mail to e-mailing. :P Hehehehe.
Proud ako sa mga nannies...pa'no kung lalake ang nanny? Nanno? :P
Ako man na-appreciate ko sila. Speaking as a father, mahirap talaga mag-alaga, 'no? Bata man o matanda.
Naku, grabe. Hirap nga mag-alaga ng bata. Kahit wala pa akong asawa't anak alam ko na ang hirap, puyat at pagod ang kaharap araw-araw.
Nag-aalaga rin ako minsan ng mga pamangkin ko. Hehehehe.
Pamangkin pa lang yan, ed. ako din noon, pamangkin din. Lalo na pag anak mo na.
Pero ang nakakapagtaka, kahit mahirap gawin, masarap naman ang pakiramdam mo pag ginagawa mo.
